I’m Adam, the designer behind Hanging Pixels. I’ve worked in creative and print design for around 20 years, and every poster on the site is designed by me.
I started Hanging Pixels after noticing that a lot of poster shops had good ideas but weak design — poor typography, awkward spacing and layouts that didn’t quite work. I wanted to create something better: posters that are funny, thoughtful and visually well balanced, without taking themselves too seriously.
Every design is created carefully with attention to typography, spacing, composition and colour. I don’t use AI-generated artwork for the posters; each one is designed by me using the same principles I’ve relied on throughout my design career.
The aim is simple: to create posters that look good on the wall, make people smile, and feel like something you would actually want to live with.
Hanging Pixels is also about more than just design. 20% of annual profits are donated to UK mental health and suicide prevention charities in memory of my brother, who helped me build the site and will always be part of it.
